“Grant your Church, we pray, almighty God, that she may have Saint Stephen of Hungary, who fostered her growth while a king on earth, as her glorious defender in heaven”
– This short collect is a great example and reminder of the fact that all holiness works for the benefit of the whole Church. Stephen was holy on earth in large part precisely because he fostered the growth of the Church. His holiness in heaven continues to serve the Church by means of his constant intercession.
